The MMI consists of a series of short, carefully timed interview stations in an attempt to draw multiple samples of applicants' ability to think on their feet, critically appraise information, communicate their ideas, and demonstrate that they have thought about some of the issues that are important to health-related professions. You can increase your knowledge of the process and enhance your interview skills by attending MMI preparation sessions!
These preparation sessions are designed to replicate a real MMI scenario and are for individuals who would like to practice responding to ethical, behavioural and situational questions, role play and 'picture station' scenarios in a timed session. Following participation in the MMI preparation sessions, students reported experiencing significant increases in the following areas:
Some students even reported feeling that their general interview skills had improved significantly. While the benefits of attending just one preparation session are clear, students reported feeling significantly more prepared for an MMI if they attended at least two practice sessions.
