First Generation Student (FGS) Program
Are you a First Generation Student? You are if neither of your parents has ever attended a postsecondary institution. Yes, you are, even if your brother and/or sister has already attended or currently attends a postsecondary institution. Being a First Generation Student (FGS) means that your generation is the first in your family to attend a College or University and being a First Generation Student here at Western also means that you are special. Western recognizes that you face different challenges from those students whose parents attended University and, in order to address those challenges, Western has a number of helpful resources in place for you.
