Summer Academic Orientation (SAO) 2012
Visit www.sao.uwo.ca to register for Summer Academic Orientation, and select a day between June 21 and Aug 3, 2012 for your appointment on campus. Online registration for SAO opens on June 4 but sign up now to get a notification email when our registration system opens. If you live outside of Ontario/Canada and you are not planning a trip to Western this summer, we also offer telephone advising.
At Summer Academic Orientation, you will have the opportunity to:
- Select your courses with the help of a professor or academic advisor
- Create a personalized course timetable with help from an upper- year student leader
- Register for your courses
- Meet other first-year students in your faculty/program
- Meet upper-year students from your faculty/program
- Participate in a campus tour and tour of traditional and suite style residence rooms
- Become familiar with the Western campus and services
- Have your photo taken for your Western ONECard (if you do not wish to upload it)
Don’t be afraid to bring your parents or guests along so that we can answer their questions too! We offer a Parent/Guest Orientation program each day so that they can also become familiar with Western and meet other parents who share similar questions, concerns, or hopes for their students’ success and happiness at Western.
