The Leadership and Mentorship Program (LAMP) provides an inclusive and welcoming community for first-year students. Students are assigned a Peer Mentor from their Faculty or Program and are kept up to date on events, programming and academic deadlines throughout the year.  Our goal is for every student to have a smooth and successful transition to university life.  LAMP mentors have been in your shoes and are happy to assist you!

Career Leaders are students who assist the Career Counselling team deliver career and employment support to students, including staffing our daily drop-in Western's Employment Resource Centre where they work one-on-one with students requesting help with their job search documents. In addition, Career Leaders are encouraged to facilitate workshops, help at campus-wide career events, and other leadership opportunities

Alternative Spring Break

Students looking to take on more responsibility within the Alternative Spring Break (ASB) program can apply as a Student Team Leader. Student Team Leaders work closely with the Faculty/Staff Team Leaders and help select the team, run a local service-learning activity, organize a team social, and lead reflection activities. Applications are available in late-September and close mid-October.
