What is a transcript?
A transcript is a copy of a student's permanent academic record at this University, duly certified by the Registrar and bearing the embossed seal of the University. A transcript is privileged information and is available only upon the written or online request and payment of the fee in effect at the time by the student.
Why would you order a transcript?
A transcript is required as one of the supporting documents for: applications to other universities and graduate schools; fellowship and scholarship applications; and is commonly required by prospective employers. The transcript is a record of a student's academic progress. If you are considering having your transcripts issued to you, check if this is acceptable to the other institution. Your transcript will show as being issued to you. You cannot return your transcripts to us to be redirected.
Note that a transcript reflects the current status of a student's record at the time it is issued. Students should ensure that any changes to the transcript (e.g., from an INC to a final grade) are recorded before ordering a transcript.

We offer three options to order your official Western transcript
In Person: Student Central, Rm 1120 Western Student Services Building
Order by coming into Student Central during regular business hours. In person requests can be paid via cash, cheque, money order, Canadian debit, or credit card.
Login to Student Center using your Western User ID and Password to submit an online request.
* Online orders cannot be changed or cancelled once submitted.
* No attachments can be sent with transcripts ordered online.
If you were a Western student prior to 1984 your records are not available electronically. To obtain a copy of your transcript you must order in person, by fax, or by mail.
Complete our Transcript Request form (pdf) (if you don’t have a Western User ID or would like to include a document with your transcript) and fax or mail it to us. Note: Due to Payment Card Industry requirements, we are unable to process any requests received via email.

Note: Additional charges may apply for returned courier shipments. If you request an order sent by fax, we will make 3 attempts for unsuccessful fax transmissions.
Track your transcript order through your Student Center under Academics > Documentation > Transcripts. You will be able to see the status of your order, when it was completed, and the courier tracking number (if you requested your transcript be sent via courier). If you do not have access to the Student Center, call Student Central at 519-661-2100 to confirm the status of your order.
